Initial impressions

I listened to the debut Impulsive Hearts LP several times before deciding to buy. I’m not sure why it took me so long to make a decision, since it’s clearly worth a place in anyone’s music collection.

It also took two attempts to write this post. That may just be coincidence. This version is better.

Impulsive Hearts are Danielle Sines, who likes melodies that remind her of summertime and to that effect sings, shouts, plays guitar and synth and records noises on tape recorders. Support comes from Dan Julian and one-time pope John Paul.

It’s weird how these coincidences happen, but shortly after I’d finished playing that LP, this track shuffled on my iPod. Two excellent songs whose titles are initialisms; what are the chances?
