Day 14 — a song no one would expect me to like

I’ve no idea what people would expect me to like; with some 13,500 songs in iTunes, I like to think I have eclecticism in plenty. But if I was to guess, I might list the aforementioned Go West, Secret by Madonna, which I love as much as I dislike almost every other Madonna track (a lot); or Adele’s Rolling in the Deep.

But there’s one LP that even I’m surprised I like, Roxy Music’s Flesh and Blood, a brilliant record that showcases Bryan Ferry’s voice at its very best. As with Madonna and Adele, I’m indifferent to everything else Roxy Music and Ferry recorded, with the exception of his brilliant cover of John Lennon’s Jealous Guy.

But I’d happily pay lots of money to see them perform Flesh and Blood in its entirety. Provided they promise not to append Virginia-bloody-Plain.
